What brand of brandy is kosher ? The recipe sounds delicious!
I use Carmel Brandy 777.
I would love to make this for Pesach, but I can’t use mustard. Do you think it would work if I substituted an apricot-barbecue sauce instaed?
Hi Jeanette, I’m not sure apricot and bbq sauce would work together, but maybe a sweet duck sauce or a honey bbq sauce.
Wow!!!! I saw this recipe and new I had make it!! I didn’t have salami, but I had turkey so I made it with turkey and it was a huge hit! It was polished off in minutes!!! Thanks Chanie!
Thanks Chaya Hinda. I love the idea of doing this with turkey, what kind of turkey did you use?
I used hod Lavan Mexican turkey breast, that’s all I had at home and it came out great!
I’m gonna try it that way, great idea!
Would this stay good on a warming tray- for a Friday night meal?
I don’t see why not.
Was finger lickin’ good. Keep up the great work Chanie. Keep those recipes coming.
We made tonight, prePesach.. delishooooos!
If I bought the extra long salami, do I double all the ingredients? I’m just nervous if it’ll be too much brandy in it. Thanks! Can’t wait to make this. Looks amazing!
The recipe makes lots of sauce, so I don’t think you need to double. Enjoy!
what kind of salami do you use?
Regular (not dried) salami. I love the Abeles & Heymann brand.
Made this on pesach with imitation mustard and plum brandy and it was outstanding! Thanks as always!
Mmmm plum brandy sounds amazing!
We absolutely love this recipe! One question, would whiskey work in this recipe instead of bourbon or brandy?
Yes I think it would!
I was looking for a recipe to use up a package of ring bologna. Do you think it would work or dies it need to be sausage?
It should work.
